Comprehensive Counseling
Grade 9 through 12 — a four-year, deliberate engagement.
Students entering Grade 9 or Grade 10 at international schools, IB / A-Level / AP programs, or top local high schools across Asia. Best when the family wants strategic counsel from the very beginning of high school, not a rushed senior-year scramble.
- Quarterly academic planning — course selection, AP/IB choices, GPA trajectory review
- Summer strategy each year — program selection, research opportunities, internship matching
- Competition tiering using our internal S/A/B/C/D framework
- Long-form intellectual development — reading lists, writing exercises, research mentorship
- Standardized testing roadmap — SAT/ACT/AP/IB timing and prep partnerships
- Senior-year application work in full — list, all essays, all supplements, interviews, financial aid
2–3 sessions per month with the senior counselor, plus async written feedback as needed. Quarterly milestone reviews with parents. Summer planning intensive in March of each year.
- — Tutoring for school subjects (we coordinate with subject tutors)
- — Test prep (we partner with selected prep providers)
- — Application work for students applying outside the U.S. without a U.S. component
Can we start in Grade 11?
Yes, but the comprehensive model is designed to compound over 3–4 years. For Grade 11 entry, we usually recommend Application Year Support unless there's a specific multi-year goal we can still serve.
How many students do you take per cohort?
Each advisor accepts a maximum of 8 students per cohort, ensuring every student receives the full attention of a senior counselor throughout the entire process.
Do you guarantee admission to a specific university?
No. Anyone who guarantees Ivy League admission is misleading you. We commit to senior counsel and rigorous process; outcomes follow from that, but no firm controls them.
Is the engagement language English or Chinese?
Either or both, per the family's preference. Final application materials are always in English; coaching and discussion can happen in any of our supported languages.
What if our student's needs change mid-engagement?
We adjust. The engagement is a relationship, not a fixed contract — we can scale up or down as life requires.
